This course is for everyone who has a violin and wants to know more about how to maintain it. It is particularly useful for beginner students, and parents who have just bought a violin for their child.
Some things will be useful when you first get your new violin and bow out of its case, such as:
- Tuning – using the pegs and fine tuners
- Looking after the bow, including
- getting the right tension
- applying rosin
- loosening the bow after playing
- Shoulder rests and how to fit them
Other things might come in more handy later, such as how to change violin strings.
