Alongside the single stroke roll, the double stroke roll is one of the most important. All the lessons that follow will use a combination of these two, so it is worth practising these to make sure your playing is relaxed and under control.
Following on from the tips in the previous lesson, it is also worth checking you have consistent volume for each double. You might have noticed that Ross has his sticks at a uniform distance from the drum before playing. This helps you get an even volume.
You can try both single and double stroke rolls at different speeds, but quality is more important than speed!
